This area is approximately 40' x 55' with a surface composed of wood chips and dirt, with a 5% slope. This area is mostly shady due to its surround vegetation of coast redwood, madrone, and oak brush. Expect temperatures of 70°F-90°F in the summer. Nearby volleyball poles and horseshoe pits are provide, but not equipment, nor it is rented. About 200 ft. from the picnic area, there is a grass field, a great place to sunbathe. The field is open to all visitors and not just meadow picnickers. Parking is shared among all park users and is available on a first come, first served basis.
