Sam McDonald Park Trail Closures

Work continues on a project to enhance public safety by maintaining already existing fuel breaks and shaded fuel breaks along a 4.3-mile network of fire roads in Sam McDonald Park. Trails in the work area will be closed on weekdays.

Completion of New Flood Park Facilities Nears; Saturday Work Continues

To finish construction of the multi-use sports field and sports courts, crews are scheduled to continue work on Saturdays, Oct 19 through Nov 16. On Nov 4 –22, the entire park will be closed, including the pump track.

Bicycle Sunday Canceled on Holiday Weekends

Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled during holiday weekends to meet increased staffing needs at other parks in the area.

No Campfires or Drop-in BBQs at Sam McDonald Park, Nov 5 & 6

On Nov 5 & 6, as a safety precaution due to a Red Flag Warning of high fire danger, visitors to Sam McDonald Park are restricted from having campfires or using BBQs in drop-in picnic areas.

Pescadero Creek Park Trail Closures

The area south and west of the park, which was burned by the CZU Lightning Complex Fire, remains closed. Other trails remain closed due to storm damage.

A Nature Themed Playground Design is Top Choice for Flood Park

Among the three concepts presented, the most popular with the community was boulder canyon, which reflects a natural aesthetic and will incorporate rocks of varying sizes to serve as play and relaxation areas.

Tennis Court Surfacing Begins at Flood Park
